Conflict Minerals Policy
AMERICAN PRODUCERS SUPPLY CONFLICT MINERALS POLICY
American Producers Supply (APS) fully supports the intent of section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Act pertaining to the use of tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold (3TG) and any other minerals or derivatives determined by the United States Secretary of State as originating from the Democratic Republic of Congo and neighboring countries.
APS seeks to purchase Designated Minerals from suppliers that are sourcing from conflict free regions.
APS is currently unaware of any Designated Minerals purchased from our suppliers that have originated in a conflict zone.
If, at any point in time, it is determined that a supplier is found to be utilizing Designated Minerals from conflict areas; then APS will convert that business to an alternate supplier.
As part of our Due diligence APS will maintain a log of suppliers that offer products containing the Designated Minerals. APS will additionally maintain a listing of smelters ( if provided) from those suppliers and insure the smelters are approved as in compliance.
APS will retain all letters from suppliers that state they are in complete compliance with The Act.
APS will consider this an ongoing process as suppliers and customer demands change over time.
Sincerely,
Conflict Minerals Team
